CTSP Self-Assessment Reflections
CTSP Initial Self-Assessment Reflection

In this initial self-assessment, most of the levels I indicated for the standards were Level 2: Exploring and Level 3: Applying. There were a few things that I felt I was doing at higher levels, but I knew there were many aspects of these standards that I wanted to explore to strengthen my understanding of classroom dynamics, teaching, and supporting students.

My areas of strength include:

CTSP 1.1 Uses data from multiple sources to make adjustments to instruction and meet individual identified learning needs.
CTSP 2.1 Facilitates student self-reflection and ongoing improvement of the caring community based on respect, fairness, and the value of all members.

CTSP 3.3 Integrates knowledge of curriculum and resources to organize and adjust instruction within and across subject matter to extend student understanding.

CTSP 5.6 Integrates a variety of technologies into the development, implementation, analysis of assessments, and communication of student learning to all audiences.
Many opportunities for growth & continuous improvement are within the weekly coaching meetings that I will continue to have throughout my educational career. I think these meetings are a beneficial way to continue building on teaching practices and skills as a way to more effectively support students in the classroom.

Through this CTI program, I am most proud of my dedication and diligence with discussing ways to improve my classroom practices so that I could reach more of my students. Many of the practices I explored as a result of conversations surrounding CTSP standards, I will be applying in my classroom in the future as well because those practices proved to be beneficial for students based on the analysis of data I collected. This program has been a space to think critically and develop as a teacher.
